  What Foods to Consume and Avoid on Satvik Diet? Satvik diet includes light and healthy foods. In Ayurvedic practice, it is thought to enhance energy, happiness, serenity, and clarity of mind. In fact, that means eating vegetarian, nutritious, fresh, and delicious food. Usually, satvik foods consist of ripe, raw and lightly cooked and freshly prepared. Old or undercooked food is not sattvic. They are high in nutritious plant foods as well as low-fat and fried foods. They are grown naturally and are not filtered as much as possible. It is also noteworthy that sattvic foods include a large number of active foods such as tomatoes, red amaranth, and milk.
